The CrossA funeral marks the close of a human life on earth. It is the opportunity for friends and family to express their grief, to give thanks for the life which has now completed its journey in this world and to commend the person into God’s keeping.

A Christian funeral also provides the opportunity to hear words of hope and comfort that the Christian faith brings and the assurance of eternal life with Christ for those who trust in him. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.”  (John 11:25-26)

The decisions that face those making funeral arrangements can be confusing and overwhelming. Each step of the grieving process deserves its own careful attention. Our priest can assist you through this process. You do not need to be a member of the parish to request a funeral service.
